PLAVIX ACTION MECHANISM
Plavix acts as an inhibitor of platelet aggregation. Plavix works by irreversibly inhibiting an adenosine diphosphate (ADP) chemoreceptor (P2Y12 receptor), present on platelet cell membranes, thereby inhibiting platelet function.
PLAVIX DOSAGE
Plavix dosage depends upon your medical condition and clinical history. It is generally prescribed with a glass full of water and can be taken with or without meals. Recommended daily dosage of Plavix is, with starting dose of 300 mg which is followed by 75 mg per day.

PLAVIX SIDE EFFECTS
Less serious Plavix side effects include itching. Serious side effects such as coughing up blood, chest pain, pain in arm or shoulder, sudden numbness or weakness, confusion, vision, speech, or balance problems, jaundice, unusual bleeding ,bloody or tarry stools, pale skin, fever blood in your urine or nosebleed are found with Plavix treatment.
While adverse side effects of Plavix include severe neutropenia, thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura (TTP) and hemorrhage.
