OVRAL L ACTION MECHANISM

Ovral L through combined action of estrogen and progesterone hormones effectively prevents unwanted pregnancies by 3 different steps. Firstly, Ovral L prevents ovulation and then changes viscosity of mucus thereby making it more difficult for sperm to fertilize egg. Lastly, it changes lining of womb, thereby hindering attachment of fertilized egg.

OVRAL L DOSAGE

Ovral L tablets are taken orally every day at about same time for 21 consecutive days or as directed by your Doctor. Ovral-L tablets should be started on day 1 of menstrual bleeding/ cycle.

OVRAL L ADVANTAGES

Main Ovral L advantage is that it effectively prevents unwanted pregnancies and is easy and convenient method. Risk of ovarian or endometrial cancer and ovarian cysts is decreased by Ovral-L and it also makes periods more regular.

OVRAL L SIDE EFFECTS

Common side effects of Ovral-L which may occur are headache, dizziness nausea, vomiting, stomach cramping or bloating, vaginal discomfort or irritation and worsened acne.

Ovral L serious side effects are dark patches on skin(melasma), swelling of ankles or feet, changes in vaginal bleeding, unwanted facial or body hair and weight changes (gain or loss).

In rare cases, Ovral L may cause serious side effects such as coughing up blood, sudden shortness of breath, pain in the chest, weakness on one side of body, slurred speech or vision problems.
